Belgium EU-28: European Commission Presents Results of Its Consultation on CAP

On February 2, 2017, the European Commission launched a consultation on the future of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) in order to better understand where the current policy can be simplified and modernized. The findings of the consultation were presented at a stakeholders conference convened in Brussels on Friday, July 7, 2017. Along with the Commission's own on-the-ground analysis of the current state of play and an assessment of the potential impact of any proposed policy changes, the findings will feed into a Communication on modernizing and simplifying the CAP. The Communication is scheduled to be published before the end of 2017.
