Prior to the February 1, 2021 military coup, Burma was in the process of updating many of its laws and regulations. In the current uncertain environment, the military regime’s approach to policy development remains unclear. This report does not reflect any significant changes from the December 2020 report, but includes updates on the Pesticide Registration in Section 5.1; Import License in Section 9.1; Prohibited Imports in Section 9.2; Food Import and the Application of Import Recommendations in Section 9.3; Trade Facilitation in Section X; and point of content for Codex matters in Appendix I.
