Canada: Consultation on Regulatory Requirements for the Environmental Release of Plants

On May 19, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency launched a consultation on the Seeds Regulations and the environmental release of seeds. The proposed guidance is intended to provide stakeholders a better understanding of Part V of the Regulations on the release of seeds and clarify which plants are subject to Part V.
