China: China Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Process Management Rules

  |   Attaché Report (GAIN)

On October 16, 2017, the Chinese General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) released the Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Process Management Rules. The Rules do not impose new requirements for the entry-exit inspection and quarantine of all imports. The Rules outline the procedures for the inspection and quarantine processes, and define the jurisdiction of AQSIQ and its local branches. The Rules also stipulate that shipments are subject to different frequencies of sample testing based on risk and the traders’ credit (i.e. good track record).
