China: China Notifies ASF in Hunan Province

On April 8, 2021, China’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (MARA) notified the U.S. Embassy in Beijing that on March 27, 2021, China detected African Swine Fever (ASF) in Hunan Province. China notified this ASF outbreak to the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) and is continuing to monitor the situation. This was China's fourth ASF notification to the OIE since the end of January 2021.
