China: FMD in Qinghai Province

On December 1, 2021, China’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (MARA) notified the U.S. Embassy in Beijing that on October 31, 2021, China detected foot and mouth disease (FMD) in yak cattle in Qinghai Province. China is continuing to monitor the situation.
