China: China Released Draft Administrative Measures for Registration of Overseas Producers of Imported Foods

On November 26, 2019, the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China (GACC) issued the “Administrative Measures for Registration of Overseas Manufacturers of Imported Foods (Draft for Comments).” These Measures, once finalized, will replace the former General Administration of Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) Decree 145 of the same title, which was implemented on May 1, 2012. Deadline for submitting comments is December 25, 2019. This report provides an unofficial translation of the Measures.
