China: Draft National Food Safety Standard General Principles for the Labeling of Prepackaged Foods is Open for Comments

On January 19, 2024, China’s Food Safety Standards Monitoring and Evaluation Department of the National Health Commission (NHC) released a letter soliciting public comments in China on four National Food Safety Standards, including Draft National Food Safety Standard General Principles for the Labeling of Prepackaged Foods. This report contains an unofficial translation of the draft National Food Safety Standard General Principles for the Labeling of Prepackaged Foods. Stakeholders should conduct their own review of the regulation. Written comments must be submitted via the National Food Safety Standards Information Management System by February 29, 2024.
