China: Five National Food Safety Standards Issued for Domestic Comments
On May 10, 2023, the People’s Republic of China (PRC) Food Safety Standards Monitoring and Evaluation Department of the National Health Commission (NHC) published an announcement soliciting domestic public comments on five national food safety standards for food nutrition fortifiers, food additives, protein testing, dairy powder, and modified dairy powder. This report contains an unofficial translation of the announcement of the public comment period and the catalog. The PRC will likely notify these standards to the WTO after completion of this domestic notice and comment procedure.
