China: Revised Draft Measures on Labeling Agricultural GMOs Notified

On November 24, 2023, the People’s Republic of China (PRC) notified the Administrative Measures on Labeling Agricultural Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) (draft) to the World Trade Organization (WTO). Significant updates in the revised draft measures include the establishment of a three percent labeling threshold for products listed in Agricultural GMOs Labeling Catalog, changes to the products listed in the catalog, and requirements for “non-GMO” labeling.
