Link to report:
On April 15, the State Council Tariff Commission (SCTC) announced another extension until November 30, 2022, for the Section 301 retaliatory tariff exclusions on 11 specific agricultural products, including shrimp for cultivation, whey for feed, fishmeal for feed, alfalfa, and six hardwood products. The 11 agricultural tariff lines are part of a list of 81 commodities that received previous exclusions through April 16, 2022 (see GAIN report CH2021-0112). This is the third time that SCTC has extended the exclusion period for these commodities. In total, China has provided 7 tariff exclusion extensions for Section 301 retaliatory of tariffs for commodities with specific exclusion periods. Importer initiated tariff exclusions also continue to be issued according to information received from industry contacts.
