Dominican Republic: FAIRS Export Certificate Report
This report describes the major export certificates required by the Government of the Dominican Republic (DR) for imports of food and agricultural products. Major changes in 2017 include (1) the DR’s enforcement of the sanitary registration requirement for all food products produced domestically and imported, especially for dairy products and wine; (2) a requirement that labels for prepackaged foods be in the Spanish language and placed at origin; and (3) a Certificate of No Objection to be issued by the Ministry of Health before alcoholic beverages can be imported into the DR.
