Egypt: Building Momentum to UN COP27 Strengthening Public-Private Sector Collaboration on the Climate Challenge

On January 24 and 25, Cairo witnessed an important forum on climate change between Egypt and the United States within the framework of Egypt serving as the official host of the UN Climate Change Conference (COP27) taking place in November 2022 in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt. FAS Cairo participated in the two-day forum titled “Building Momentum to COP27 of the United Nations: Strengthening Cooperation between the Public and Private Sectors on the Climate Challenge". The American Chamber of Commerce in Cairo, in cooperation with the American Chamber of Commerce in Washington and the Egyptian-American Business Council organized the forum to build momentum for the global discussion leading to COP27 with a focus on ways in which governments and industry can work together, leveraging technology and innovation to address climate change.
