India: FSSAI Bans Import of Four Specialty Foods

On August 31, 2018, the Government of India’s Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) published a notice to ban the import of certain medical and therapeutic foods meant for treatment of hypoallergenic conditions. The decision to ban is based on the recommendation of FSSAI’s Scientific Panel.
