On December 31, 2018, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) issued a notice that disallowed the use of several ingredients in nutraceutical foods. This is an addition to Appendix 1 of the previous FSSAI nutraceutical foods notification issued on June 29, 2018.
