India: Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza Outbreak in Karnataka

On May 12, 2016, the Government of India reported a detection of the highly pathogenic avian influenza H5N1 strain in Karnataka to the World Organisation for Animal Health. Reportedly, the GOI issued an advisory to contain the outbreak.
