GAIN IN2020-0108 reported information on Government of India’s Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) new order for genetically modified-free certificate on imported food products. This report is an update to inform readers that on August 28, 2020, FSSAI provided additional verbal clarification that it does not regulate animal feed and therefore its order of August 21, 2020 will not apply to any listed commodities imported for animal feed. All other information remains the same.
