In addition, MHLW proposed the revision of testing protocols for selected crops. Lastly, MHLW announced the public release of Japan’s Specifications and Standards of Food Additives with a provisional translation in English. The embassy comment period for proposed MRL changes is open until February 7, 2019. MHLW will then notify the MRL revisions to the World Trade Organization (WTO), which will provide another opportunity for interested parties to comment.
