Japan: Japan Notifies WTO of Revised Pest Lists and Relevant Phytosanitary Measures

On January 9, 2020, Japan notified the World Trade Organization of proposed amendments to its pest lists and other phytosanitary measured via G/SPS/N/JPN/712. The public comment period for the notification will close on March 9, 2020. Interested U.S. parties are encouraged to share their comments and/or concerns with USDA’s enquiry point (us.spsenquirypoint@fas.usda.gov). For potential inclusion in the U.S. official position, please send your comments to PlantDivision@usda.gov by February 28, 2020.
