Mexico: Mexico Publishes New Regulations for Eggs and Egg Products

On January 16, 2018, the Secretariat of Health published the Official Norm, NOM-159-SSA1-2016, in Mexico’s Federal Register. This long-expected norm establishes regulations and sanitary specifications, as well as the testing methods for eggs and egg products to be marketed in Mexico. It replaces NOM- 159-SSA1-1996, which was published on December 2, 1999.
