Post expects Moroccan MY 2019/20 citrus production to fall 32 percent to 1.7 million metric tons due to unfavorable weather in southern Morocco. Tangerine and mandarin production are expected to decrease by 35 percent from the previous year to 910,000 MT, while orange production should fall by 31 percent to 815,000 MT. Lemon and lime production will reach 40,000 MT, an 11 percent decline from MY 2018/19. Morocco’s citrus exports will be negatively impacted by a poor harvest brought on by high temperatures in July-August
