The report summarizes Mozambique’s general food laws, regulatory authorities, major import/export procedures, food and packaging/labeling regulations, registration measures, and other trade facilitation issues. Contact information for major government regulatory agencies and a list of useful local public and private sector contacts for additional technical product-specific information and import assistance is provided at the end of the report. This report outlines the most important information that importers/exporters need when exporting food and agricultural products to Mozambique. This report contains information from government authorities who oversee import/export of food commodities and agricultural inputs, such as the Ministries of Agriculture and Rural Development, Trade and Industry, Economy and Finance, and Health, as well as subordinate agencies of these institutions.
