FAS Lagos recruited 24 Nigerian restaurant owners, hotel operators, and importer-distributors to attend the 2019 National Restaurant Association (NRA) Show on May 18-21, 2019, in Chicago, Illinois.  NRA co-hosted the show with Beverage Alcohol for Restaurants (BAR), which exhibited beer, wine, and spirits.  Post followed-up with attendees through post-show questionnaires, telephone calls, and visits.  Four buyers made on-site purchases of U.S. food and beverage products valued about $320,000 from six U.S. exhibitors at the event.  Some buyer-attendees also returned with sample products, six of which are already undergoing registration with Nigeria’s National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) for approval to distribute and consume the products in Nigeria.
