Oman: Oman Drops Dioxin Free Certificate Requirement for Dairy and Dairy Products

This report confirms the dropping of dioxin free certificate requirements for U.S. exports of dairy and dairy products to the Sultanate of Oman. For years, Oman required importers to provide a dioxin free certificate from the country of origin for dairy and dairy products, delaying entry and often requiring testing at destination. The letter herein confirms Oman’s decision to drop all dioxin free certificate requirements and was obtained in a December 13, 2021, meeting in Muscat between USDA FAS Dubai and Senior Officials from Oman’s Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources.
