Pakistan’s MY 2021/22 wheat production is estimated at a record 27 million metric tons (MMT). The MY 2021/22 wheat import estimate is increased from 1 MMT to 2 MMT. MY 2020/21 and MY 2021/22 wheat exports are increased to 500,000 and 600,000 tons, respectively, in response to enhanced cross border trade with Afghanistan. Pakistan has so far exported around 2.2 MMT of rice during MY 2020/21 (November-October). The rice forecast remains unchanged.
