Peru’s coffee production in marketing year (MY) 2016/17 (April/March) is forecast at 3.2 million bags (60-kilograms per bag), increasing over 5 percent compared to the previous year. Low international prices and rust infestation have cornered coffee producers, particularly organic farmers.
