Poland: Poland's Third Commercial ASF Outbreak in 2020

On June 5, 2020, Poland’s Chief Veterinary Officer (CVO) officially notified an African swine fever (ASF) outbreak on a 70-head pig farm in the Lubelskie Province in eastern Poland. The affected farm is located at a distance of about 550 meters from Poland's border with Belarus. Veterinary authorities implemented protection and surveillance procedures to contain the outbreak. This outbreak is Poland’s third commercial ASF outbreak in 2020.
