Qatar: Qatar Implementation of GSO Regulation on Nutritional Labeling

On May 11, 2017, the Ministry of Public Health of Qatar published in its official circular a notification to importers informing them of the implementation of GSO 9 and GSO 2233 as it relates to the requirements for nutritional labeling of prepackaged food. Qatar will require that nutritional facts must appear in the Arabic language on product packaging. Products entering Qatar without nutritional facts labeled in Arabic will be rejected after June 30, 2017.
