Romania: Avian Influenza Confirmed in Romania

On January 14, 2020, Romania’s Institute for Diagnosis and Animal Health (IDAH) confirmed a case of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) in a commercial layer farm located in northwestern Romania. The poultry industry and the Romanian Veterinary and Food Safety National Authority (ANSVSA) are taking measures to limit the spread of the virus.
