Russia: Eurasian Economic Commission Announces 2019 TRQs

  |   Attaché Report (GAIN)

On August 30, 2018, the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) published Decision No. 141 of August 28, 2018, establishing tariff-rate quotas (TRQs) and respective volumes for imports of meat, poultry and whey into the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). Unchanged from 2018, Russia’s TRQ volumes appear consistent with its WTO commitments. Belarus and Kazakhstan TRQ volumes also remained unchanged, and as in previous years, Armenia will have no TRQs in 2019. As for Kyrgyzstan, it will increase access for beef while slightly reducing its poultry TRQ in 2019.
