Russia: VPSS Adds to its List of Quarantine Pests for Russia

The Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (VPSS) published a new list of 57 quarantine pests, adding to the Common List of Plant Quarantine Pests of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). The Common List came to force in the whole territory of the EAEU on July 1, 2017. Both documents will now serve as the basis for phytosanitary control of products of plant origin at the border of the Russian Federation and in the territory of the Russian Federation. As of the date of publication of this report, FAS/Moscow does not believe this measure has been notified to the World Trade Organization (WTO).
