Haiti: FAIRS Annual Country Report

This report is an overview of general legal and technical requirements imposed by Haiti for food and agricultural imports.
On Monday, February 28 Mexico's Ministry of Economy released the Mexican Official Standard NOM-173-SE-2021 - Denominations-Specifications- Commercial Information and Test Methods for Prepackaged Non-Alcoholic Beverages with Fruit or Vegetable Content.
The purpose of this report is to provide U.S. agricultural trade associations with information on compliance with the “Law of the People’s Republic of China on Administration of Activities of Overseas Nongovernmental Organizations in the Mainland of China” (FNGO Law).
On October 12, 2021, the United States and Morocco completed a sanitary certificate for exports of U.S. live aquatic animals to Morocco. The completion of this certificate offers new opportunities for U.S. exporters of live aquatic animals intended for farming.

On March 17, the Serbian Government added refined sunflower edible oil to the list of grains and oilseeds that cannot be exported because of their importance to food security. In the same amendment the Serbian Government removed raw sunflower seed oil from the list that is now free for export.
On January 26, 2022, the Sri Lanka Standards Institution (SLSI) notified draft amendment standards for soya (soy) sauce to the World Trade Organization (WTO). WTO members are invited to provide comments on notification G/TBT/N/LKA/48.

Taiwan: MRL Policy Update

This report is a voluntary update to GAIN Report TW2020-0014, published February 25, 2020. The report provides a brief introduction to Taiwan’s pesticide residue policy to include maximum residue limit (MRL) import tolerance applications, up-to-date MRL database, frequently used residue testing methods and recent MRL announcement history.
On March 14, 2022, under the Egyptian prime minister's direction, the General Organization for Veterinary Services (GOVS) distributed a letter with instructions for its veterinary posts across the country.
On January 26, 2022, the Sri Lanka Standards Institution (SLSI) notified draft amendment standards (First Revision) for fruit concentrates used in squashes, fruit syrups, and fruit cordials to the World Trade Organization (WTO).
