Estonian farmers can expect another good harvest in MY2016/17. It is forecast that total grain production will diminish to 1.3 million MT, 15 percent lower than last year.
In Latvia another good harvest is expected. In 2016/17 total grain production is forecast to amount to 2.4 million MT. Due to a relatively mild winter grain plantings are assumed well.
Lithuanian farmers expect a good harvest for MY2016/17.
Planting conditions for wheat and barley were very good in most regions. The current crop status indicates excellent prospects for the winter crops.
