Libya: Exporter Guide

Libya poses unique opportunities and challenges for U.S. agricultural exports. The nation is characterized by an unstable government, conflict, opaque regulations, an underperforming agricultural sector, and about $1.5 billion worth of agricultural imports from around the world every year.
This report identifies Ecuador’s import requirements for foreign export certificates, highlighting current procedures and identifying the relevant local agencies with oversight over these issues. An export certificate matrix and outline is included. This report supplements the FAS Quito Food and Agricultural Import Regulations (FAIRS) 2022 report.

On June 8, the GOI also passed a food security bill that allows the government to use public funds to meet urgent food needs, including issuing tenders to import wheat.

United Arab Emirates: Fork and the Road at ICCA 2022

The Fork and the Road program is designed to introduce and educate consumers in the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, and Oman (known as the GCC 4) about the variety and diversity of regional American foods and food culture.
On June 25, 2022, the Philippine Department of Agriculture (DA) Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI) informed domestic stakeholders at a consultative meeting that it will be enforcing BAI Memorandum Circular No. 26 (MC26), dated August 11, 2021.
On July 1, 2022, a new quota year starts for the EU High Quality Beef Quota. U.S. exporters can use this quota as well as the Hilton quota for exporting high quality bovine meat to the European Union. This report provides an update on the programs and the certification requirements for both tariff rate quotas.
