Brazil: Anufood Brazil Showcases American Products

Anufood Brazil 2022 was one of the first in-person food and beverage shows in Sao Paulo since the COVID-19 pandemic. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) endorsed the show and provided excellent opportunities for U.S. exporters. USDA is endorsing the show again next year.

Japan: Trade Show Opportunities in Western Japan

The western half of Japan, with its main hub in Osaka, accounts for nearly 40 percent of Japan’s population and one-third of the country’s gross domestic product. Many of Japan’s largest food manufacturers and processors are headquartered in the Kansai region which includes the three major cities of Osaka, Kobe, and Kyoto.
The Agricultural Trade Office (ATO) in Beijing coordinated with FAS Trade Missions and Shows to conduct "Snack and Relax!", a hybrid Virtual Market Showcase for U.S. snack and craft beer products from December 14 to 16, 2021 (China Standard Time). Despite extraordinary obstacles in the form of sudden, stringent COVID-19 control measures on hotel conference centers and 48-hour nucleic acid test requirements for all in-person attendees, the three-day event hosted 106 one-on-one meetings that connected 16 U.S. exhibitors with 24 buyer companies in China.

Brazil: USDA Endorses ANUFOOD Brazil 2022

ANUFOOD Brazil will have its third edition in Sao Paulo on April 12-14, 2022. Due to the success of the ANUFOOD trade show in 2020, the Foreign Agricultural Service's Agricultural Trade Office (ATO) in Sao Paulo will host a USA Pavilion. The USA Pavilion will serve as a place to strengthen trade relations between American exporters and local importers and distributors.
In July 2021, FAS China staff attended the 7th Food and Beverage Innovation Forum (FBIF). This report includes information and noteworthy trends as presented and discussed at the FBIF, not FAS China’s official data or position.
FAS Lagos recruited 24 Nigerian restaurant owners, hotel operators, and importer-distributors to attend the 2019 National Restaurant Association (NRA) Show on May 18-21, 2019, in Chicago, Illinois.
