Senegal: Biosafety Law 2012 - Burkina Faso
Link to report:
The Biosafety Law, 2012 contains information on the biotechnology approval process in Burkina Faso for genetically engineered (GE) products developed domestically or by a third country. It also outlines the different bodies involved in that process and requires that the National Biosafety Authority (NBA) be notified in writing prior to the importation or commercialization of a GE product. Foods derived from GE products do not fall within the scope of the law and do not require import approval from the National Biosafety Authority.
