Senegal: Decree 99-259 Quality and Food Safety Regulations for Fruits, Vegetables, and Plants Products
On March 24, 1999, the Government of Senegal passed Decree 99-259, which supports Food Safety Law 68-48. This decree specifies what ministries have the authority to develop and execute quality and safety regulations and standards for imported and domestically produced fresh fruits and vegetables, flowers, foliage and ornamental plants.
