Senegal: Impact of COVID 19 on Food Prices
Link to report:
Since 2020, several west African countries such as Senegal, Mali, Gambia, Guinea, and Burkina Faso have experienced food price increases. These price increases have followed the global trend due to principally higher freight costs and the disruption of the food supply chain. Respective governments have taken actions to mitigate the burden on consumers and facilitate access to food. Most of these countries import more than half of their food and agricultural product needs.
