This report presents regulations and procedures for the importation of food and agricultural products to Singapore. The Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority (AVA) is the national authority responsible for ensuring food safety and food regulations in the country. AVA regularly reviews and updates Food Regulations. The report also includes contact information for government regulatory agencies and import specialists. Updates include key amendments to the Sale of Food Act and changes to such regulations as the use of additives, expanded use of existing additives and health claims and stricter requirements to protect public health.
