Singapore: FAIRS Export Certificate Report

  |   Attaché Report (GAIN)

This report discusses export certificates that the Singapore Government require. The Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority (AVA) is the national authority responsible for ensuing food safety and food regulations in the country. Generally, while Singapore maintains a liberal and open trade system, it has strict regulations – especially on the imports of meats, poultry and shellfish for mainly food safety reasons. For detailed information on Singapore’s regulatory infrastructure and import control policies, and overviews of laws and requirements for imported food/agricultural products, please refer to the latest GAIN FAIRS Narrative 2017.
