In 2017, the combined value of the hotel, restaurant and institutional sector was US $4.3 billion up 8 percent from 2016. The growth was due to consumer demands of healthy eating alternatives, free delivery options and the ongoing development of fast food market. The growth of the industry offers export opportunities to U.S. food products that are quick and convenient, healthy, innovative and have the value for money.
