Taiwan: Final 2021 Tenders for U.S. Rice

On December 1, 2021, Taiwan completed the last tender for approximately 12,000 MT of U.S. long grain brown rice, thus concluding tenders for 2021 country specific quota (CSQ) for U.S. rice. Despite a year of Covid-19 related supply and logistics challenges, Taiwan was able to full 99% of the U.S. CSQ. The U.S. rice market to Taiwan is valued at around $35 million annually.
