Water restrictions for MY2015/16 off-season rice remain in place as current water supplies available for all uses are far below 2014. Rotten rice stocks increased after quality re-inspection and may be sold for ethanol production and feed in 2015.

Export prices of white and parboiled rice rose one percent from the previous week as exporters reportedly continued to secure the rice supplies to fulfill contract shipments.
