Export prices increased 2 to 5 percent due to tight domestic supplies of white rice paddy and the strengthening of the Thai baht. The government is expected to issue new tenders for 2.2 million tons of rice stocks for export and 0.4 million metric tons for industrial uses.

Export prices of white and parboiled rice rose one percent from the previous week as exporters reportedly continued to secure the rice supplies to fulfill contract shipments.
