Tunisia: FAIRS Country Report

  |   Attaché Report (GAIN)

The Food and Agricultural Import Regulations and Standards (FAIRS) report provides an overview of the food laws and regulatory environment in Tunisia as it relates to U.S. food and agricultural exports. The Tunisian food law drafted before the revolution and prepared by the Ministry of Commerce in
accordance with local and European food agencies has been indefinitely postponed. The new general post revolution environment created a long list of priorities for the government which make it unlikely that the new food law will be approved. Sections I, VI, and the Appendix have all been updated.
