Turkey: Turkey Delays Implementation of New Labeling System PVMS

Turkey has again delayed the implementation of a Product Verification Monitoring System (PVMS) for another six months. The system, which targets six food categories, after earlier postponements was scheduled to go into effect on December 31, 2016, but has now been postponed until June 30, 2017. The categories include: food supplements; honey; energy drinks; black tea; vegetable oil; infant formulas, follow-on formulas, and supplementary baby foods.
