Ukraine: Sugar Annual

Marketing Year (MY) 2022/23 sugar production is forecast at 1.1 million metric tons (MMT), a 23 percent decrease compared to the previous MY estimate. Local sugar producers are constantly sandwiched between a gradually shrinking domestic market, which represents the lion’s share of their consumers, and fluctuating world prices requiring accumulation of stocks.
