The Venezuelan economic and political crisis continues to influence all sectors of the economy, including agricultural production and trade. Venezuelan production of sorghum and wheat remains insignificant. Corn and rice production continue to decline, but at a slower rate than initially forecasted, as farmers find creative solutions to input shortages. Imports of processed wheat products have displaced much domestic processing.
