Vietnam: MARD Releases List of Animal Products Subject to Quarantine

This report provides an un-official translation of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development’s (MARD) Decision 4758/QĐ-BNN-TY dated November 18, 2015, promulgating the Harmonized Schedule (HS) Codes of the List of Animals and Animal Products subject to Quarantine during Customs Clearance and Importation. The Decision 4758 provides a detailed 8 digit HS code List based on Vietnam’s current harmonized schedule covering all animals and animal products subject to quarantine. Decision 4758 entered into force on November 18, 2015. Since the issuance of Decision 4758, the Department of Animal Health has issued Letter 2403/TY-KD on December 3, 2015 exempting tanned skin products with the HS Code: 4104; 4105; 4106; 4107; 4112.00.00; 4113; and 4115 from quarantine.
