Vietnam: MARD Revises Regulations on Feed Management
The Government of Vietnam (GVN) published Decree 39/2017/ND-CP on April 4th, 2017, replacing Decree 08/2010/ND-CP (dated February 2, 2010) on animal feed management, and revoking a number of articles in Decree 66/2016 (dated July 1st, 2016) regulating requirements for investment and trade for plant quarantine and plant protection, plant varieties, common wild livestock, animal husbandry, aquaculture and foods. This Decree came into force on May 20, 2017, and its development was tracked closely by U.S. industry including veterinary drug manufacturers due to significant changes in Vietnam’s policies regulating usage of antibiotics in animal feeds.
